UNDER THE BAKULA TREE NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON KINDLE

It gives me immense pleasure to let the readers know my eBook, Under the Bakula Tree, now available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle, gets published on 18 December.  It brings an end to the two-month hurdle race. The hurdles were formidable, threatening me with the impossibility of crossing them and the publishing impossible.  Under desperation, I felt publishing takes away the charm and the pleasure of accomplishing the creative milestone when you finished that line of your book.

What are the Kindle marketplaces that avail my e-book?
My eBook is published on Amazon globally.  You can buy it from any Amazon Kindle store. E.g. Amazon.US, Amazon.UK, Amazon.AU, Amazon. IN.

Do you have to pay in US dollars because published on Amazon.com?

Someone asked me this question.  You don't. You pay in the country's currency from where you made the order.

How can you buy it?

Click on the book's Amazon link at the end of this post.  You can google the title--Under the Bakula Tree, or author's name--Prasannakumary Raghavan.

What is this e-book about?

The story is contemporary women fiction, set in Kochi, Kerala, where I was born and brought up. An impressive female literacy rate of 92,07 % hasn't alleviated the women from objectification and the grip of patriarchy and genderism.  Unfortunately, gender-based violence is a global curse.

Do you have to lose an arm or a leg to make that break in the life of a woman embroiled by the emotional pain and economic devastation caused by her protectors in the traditional role? The kindness and help of sisterhood can well achieve that.  This is my story message.

After spending years of teaching career in different African nations, now I live in Cape Town after retiring as the Head of the Division for Physical Sciences in a high school (+2) in the Eastern Cape. The theory of African philosophy Ubuntu has influenced me considerably --"a quality that includes the essential human values; compassion and humanity--there is a need for understanding not vengeance, ubuntu not victimisation."
