BlogchatterA2Z 2022-Theme Reveal

This year, I am taking my debut plunge into Blog A Chatter's A2Z writing campaign. Ever since I started blogging in 2006, the writing party, A2Z, had come and gone- I found an excuse every time, but this year, I resisted my hesitation-the motivation from the Blog Chatter team is compelling.

Now the April Creative Writing Marathon, A2Z is Approaching

In summary:

  • A2Z is an international challenge in art and creativity, and the #Blogchatter team makes it a unique campaign for its members to horn their writing skills and make it a habit.

  • It's an annual event in April to write twenty-six blog posts each for an alphabet in the English language. Every day, excluding Sundays, so in total, twenty-six posts. Start the post with a word beginning with the alphabet or put it in any line. Theme Reveal is the most important part of it.

  • Prior preparation-Theme Reveal- is paramount and tricky. It means you plan the topics you cover in the twenty-six posts before it commences. The rule is not top-down-you're your master. I haven't listed them in my preparation post but wrote them daily.

  • What to cover in twenty-six posts didn't come easily to me. After a soul search, I chose to complete the remaining chapters of my crime thriller- Murder at Thampuran Kota.  The thriller has six parts, and I am halfway through its fifth part.
  • So, my theme reveal introduces Arjun Madhavan, the protagonist in the thriller, and covers the rest of Part-5 daily.

Last year when I joined Blog Chatter, its A2Z campaign was closing. I couldn't capitalise on its other scheduled programmes being lazy or didn't get into the grove well.

This year, I joined Cause a Chatter-a challenge to write three blog posts per quarter, the two posts I submitted got approved, and the third one is ready for submission. In February, I joined 'Write a Page A Day,' a fun writing journey to complete ten thousand words, and I concluded it successfully.

The month of March came with a creative writing experience of difference #CauseAChatterWritFest, the readers meeting authors. It was a productive exercise to attend online sessions where authors shared nuances of their writing and publishing experiences.

Coming to A2Z, the team managers of the Blog A Chatter are well set in their plan-March 07 to 21 for the theme reveal, and from April 01 to 30, write twenty-six blog posts and complete the campaign.

That much is the theory- but how to work it out with no previous experience is bothering me. Rely on Google and the tips from BlogchatterA2Z's mentors.

Conclusion

I have a great appreciation for the Blog A Chatter A2Z's mentors who held my hands in this writing journey.  Would like to give Shalini, a special mention here. [Thank you, Shalini, yours was a needful post :)].  Gong to pay attention to all tricks and tips she shared in her posts and keep hopes high.
